Restricted Jurisdictions
Hercle is unable to onboard clients that are incorporated in, operate from, or are otherwise connected to certain jurisdictions. These restrictions apply due to international sanctions regimes, AML/CTF risk considerations, and the requirements of Hercle's banking and compliance framework.
Onboarding requests from the following countries and territories will not be accepted:
Afghanistan, Belarus, the Central African Republic, China, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cuba, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, North Korea (Democratic People's Republic of Korea), Palestine (West Bank and Gaza Strip), Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Vietnam, and the Ukrainian regions of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson, or Yemen.
This list covers countries and territories subject to comprehensive international sanctions, as well as jurisdictions assessed as presenting unacceptable AML/CTF risk under Hercle's internal risk framework.
These restrictions apply to:
The country of incorporation or registration of the applicant entity
The country of residence of Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) and directors
The primary jurisdiction of operations, where materially different from the above
If your entity has any connection to a listed jurisdiction — even if incorporated elsewhere — Hercle's compliance team will assess whether onboarding is possible on a case-by-case basis. In most cases, a connection to a sanctioned jurisdiction will result in the application being declined.
Note: This list is subject to change. Hercle reviews its restricted jurisdiction policy periodically in line with updates to applicable sanctions lists and its internal risk appetite. Clients are responsible for notifying Hercle of any changes in their structure or operations that may affect their jurisdictional profile.
If you have questions about whether your entity is eligible, contact us at onboarding@hercle.com before submitting an application.
